Since 2021, on the basis of further expanding the Micro LED commercial application market, Micro LED display manufacturers such as Samsung, Leyard, and Ledman have announced their entry into the consumer application market. Recently, another display company has joined this array.
According to foreign media reports, SiliconCore Technology, an American LED display technology company, launched its Micro LED display solution at the CES 2022 exhibition, targeting the mainstream consumer market with Direct View LEDs.
The foreign media did not disclose the specific parameters of this product. Previously, SiliconCore exhibited a 72-inch Micro LED display product called Lotus, with a pixel pitch of 0.83mm, 1080p resolution and 2000nits brightness.
Foreign media revealed that SiliconCore said in a recent press release that the company plans to strategically provide its proprietary Micro LED technology to the market, accelerate the development of LED display manufacturing, and promote Micro LED displays into the mainstream consumer electronics market.
Eric Li, CEO of SiliconCore Technology, said: "My vision has always been to see direct-display LED technology in the mainstream consumer market, and to that end, the SiliconCore team has spent years building and refining technology processes to enhance display image reproduction and quality. performance."

It is understood that SiliconCore was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is said to be the only Micro LED display manufacturer in the industry with driver chip design and production capabilities. It has unique advantages in terms of quality.
SiliconCore has a rich patent portfolio, three of which are related to Micro LED displays. One is a patent for common cathode technology that the company has held since 2011, which can provide LED displays with a low temperature operating temperature of 10 to 20 degrees and a 200 percent increase in brightness levels. The other is the patented ZACH technology that expands the dynamic range of LED displays to near Rec. 2020 levels. The third is the patented LISA technology, a packaging technology based on a special construction that improves the durability and contrast ratio of LED displays.
SiliconCore said that its patents on common cathode technology and other display technologies can provide the market with cooler, more energy-efficient LED displays to extend service life, which is the only way to ensure product efficiency as the density of LEDs in display panels increases . In the future, SiliconCore will drive more display brands to adopt its own technology, driving the industry standard and home large display market forward.
